Qatar Construction Specifications 2024
Introduction
The technical guideline "Qatar Construction Specification
2024" (QCS 2024) was approved as an optional national
standard No. QS 27/2024.
The purpose of this technical guide (voluntary Qatari
standard) is to provide as a general reference for the
minimum acceptable practices for the execution of
construction projects in the State of Qatar.

supersedes “Qatar Construction Specifications 2014”
(QCS 2014).
Qatar Construction Specifications 2024 (QCS 2024)
document is structured in 32 sections, each addressing
an aspect of construction.
The engineer shall ensure that any new project complies
with the most recent relevant regulations or
requirements of any concern governmental entity, the
requirements specified in the QCS, and applicable
national standards if there are any.
Any concerned governmental authority may add to,
delete from, amend, or modify any regulation,
requirement, procedure, technique, or specification that
is mentioned in the QCS in connection to the area of
their responsibilities; and approve any suggested
modifications to them while considering the minimal
requirements as per the national standards, if any are
available.
Moreover, the engineer and/or project designer also
could add and/or modify any regulation, requirement,
procedure, technic, and specification that considers the
minimum requirements that are mentioned in the QCS
and the applicable national standards, if there are any,
and approve any proposed modification of them. The
project designer or engineer must guarantee that these
alterations are safe and suitable for the environment on
the job site.
